The world music quartet DakhaBrakha, founded in Kyiv’s experimental Dakh Theatre, has become a symbol of a free and independent Ukraine. Their distinctive style - self-described as ethno-chaos - blends authentic Ukrainian folk music with global rhythms and instruments, a winning formula that has taken them to leading stages and festivals worldwide.
Live, DakhaBrakha delivers an intense fusion of music, theatre and video art. On this European tour, the band presents its new album Ptakh (“Bird”), inspired by resistance, resilience and solidarity. The set combines audience favourites with new material, including Ptakh with lyrics by writer Serhiy Zhadan and the moving Plyve Choven.
